This is part of the Bear Creek Development Authority. It has about 15 RV campsites, and five primitive campsites. Management allows two tents per site, and each site is $7.50/night. This is a good spot for small groups. We camped ten people comfortably in sites 9 and 10 (adjacent sites).
There is a bath house up the hill (120 yards), with plenty of hot water, two lavatories, a urinal and a toilet. The sanitation facilities were always clean and always stocked with TP (five rolls at all times), paper towels, and soap. Since this is mostly RV camping, there was little competition for use of the bath house. The potable water source is also at the bath house.
There is a small beach with roped swimming area about 1/4 mile away from sites 9 and 10.
Camp hosts are Mr. R.B. and Ms. Brenda Frederick. They've been doing this at Williams Hollow for over ten years. They keep the site family friendly, with quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM, a strictly enforced 5 MPH speed limit, and no alcohol on the grounds.
GPS coordinates are 34 25.192N, 087 54.959W. Call ahead of time to make sure they have room. Phone is 256-331-1530. The camp is about 12 miles southwest of Russellville, AL on CR 227. CR 227 is not listed on the 2009 Microsoft Streets and Trips, but it intersects with CR 52, which is on MS S&T.
