350 miles from the Scout office.

The USS Kidd is a WW2 Destroyer. You can stay overnight on board the ship.

Reservations may be made by calling (225) 342-1942, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An Overnight information packet is available at no cost.

Groups do not have to be all-male or all-female. Overnights must be booked a minimum of two weeks (14 days) in advance.

There is a gift shop and also a very good Naval Museum.

Lots of other activities to do in the downtown Baton Rouge area including the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum, the Old State Capitol, and the Old Governor's Mansion. There is a hike of the Baton Rouge historical areas also, which is very fun to do.
