This is really in the center of our council, a nice facility, but the $10/tent fee for each night of camping may make it too expensive for most scout units. Ten boys, two leaders, and six tents for Friday and Saturday nights would be $120 just for tent spots.

On the other hand, with high fuel costs, it may be less expensive to pay tent fees close to home than it is to buy fuel for three vehicles to go where there is no tent fee. (This is where your patrol leaders get to use their math class skills during the decision making process.)

This spot does have running water, restrooms, picnic tables, and a lake for fishing. This is really "luxury" tent camping. This would be a great place for young children, but doesn't have much to offer in the area of roughing it.

Be sure to call or write for fees and hours of operation before going.

This park does close for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, and closes to the general public at 10:00 PM each night.
