On the twenty-seventh through the twenty-ninth we had our winter fellowship in which we participated in useful service projects, great games, and a scrumptious banquet.
For service projects, we helped Mr. Bear clean the museum by sweeping and fixing up and tweaking things, we cleaned out the storage room at the dining hall, as many of you know was very cluttered (but now is spic and span), and restrung the rifle range.
For games we had our annual “Crane Bowl” which everyone enjoyed with minimal amount of injuries and our goofy golf challenge where everyone made their own wacky contraptions for a course which were everything from across a yard to through pipes and up impossible ramps and then had the other contestants attempt to overcome them.
And for the banquet we had a amazing dinner of steak, baked potatoes, rolls, green beans and great cake. Overall it was a blast that no man (or woman) didn’t enjoy.

Jeremy Whitmore Recognized as New Supreme Chief of the Fire |

On January 28th, 2012 at the Lodge's Annual Banquet, Jeremy Whitmore was recognized as the new Supreme Chief of the Fire by our Lodge Chief, Larry Joe Brownlee. Jeremy, as Scout Executive, is titled the Supreme Chief of the Fire and has the final word on all functions related to the Lodge. We look forward to working with Jeremy! |

This weekend started a little slow but, once everyone got here, it picked up tremendously and ended as a great success!
The weekend, in my eyes, was a complete success with no problems and everything ran smoothly and everyone had fun.
We had great training sessions where everyone learned a lot. The section officers did their job very well.
This weekend everyone met a new friend and everyone got along and had fun. The food was AMAZING as always Thanks to Mr. Bubba and Mrs. Angie. Without them this weekend wouldn't have been such a success.
This weekend everyone learned something new to better help the lodge while havin fun all at the same time. |
